Servings: 4
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 pound green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons grapeseed oil (I used grapeseed oil instead of canola)
  • 2 teaspoons chili garlic paste
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced (white parts only)
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons liquid aminos (a healthier swap for soy sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 3 teaspoons honey (I substituted sugar with honey)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Heat the grapeseed oil in a wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the trimmed green beans and stir-fry them for 3-5 minutes until they start to slightly shrivel.
  3. Introduce the garlic, green onions, and chili-garlic paste, and stir to combine.
  4. Cook the garlic mixture for 30 seconds to a minute.
  5. Pour in the liquid aminos, rice vinegar, honey, water, and chili flakes.
  6. Continue to cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until most of the liquids have evaporated.
